Talent Pool
If you are interested in joining our Trust now or in the future, we encourage you to join our Talent Pool via MyNewTerm.
The process is similar to applying for a vacancy, but you can specify the types of roles you are interested in and submit a personal statement tailored to your preferences.
The Application Process
To apply for a position, please complete our online application form, hosted on MyNewTerm, which is the first step in the selection process. Your application will be used to shortlist candidates for the next stage.
1. Creating Your Application
You will need to create an account on MyNewTerm to begin the application. MyNewTerm is a user-friendly platform which allows you to track the progress of your application and receive updates along the way. You can edit and update your application at any time, just remember to click ‘save & continue’ after each update to ensure your changes are saved.
2. Completing Your Application
Please ensure that you fill out all sections of the form thoroughly and provide detailed examples of how you meet the criteria outlined in the job description and person specification. We encourage you to be specific and provide practical examples that demonstrate how your experience aligns with the role.
For additional resources, we recommend visiting the Trust and/or relevant school’s website, which may provide helpful insights to support your application.
3. Confirmation and Updates
Once you have completed the declaration and submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation message. All updates about the status of your application will be sent via email, so please check your inbox regularly to stay informed.
Next Steps
Shortlisting is based on a careful assessment of the information provided in your application against the essential criteria in the person specification. Only candidates who meet the essential criteria most closely will be shortlisted. In the case of a high volume of applications, we may also consider desirable criteria in addition to the essential criteria for shortlisting.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
Assessment
Depending on the role, you may also be required to complete an assessment during the selection process. If so, you will be notified in advance. Assessments may include one or more of the following:
- Delivering a lesson
- Delivering a presentation
- A practical exercise, such as in-tray exercises or report writing
- Literacy, numeracy, or ICT tests
Important Note
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, we collect a standardised set of information for all applicants to ensure a fair and consistent shortlisting process. As such, we are unable to accept CVs.
Offer of Appointment
As a Trust, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Any offer of appointment will be subject to a number of safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
We are also committed to fostering an environment of dignity, respect, and equality of opportunity, ensuring all our employees can achieve their full potential.
