Wednesday, 5th March 2025
Students at Rivington and Blackrod High School recently returned from an unforgettable trip to New York City, where they had the chance to explore the cultural, historical and artistic treasures of one of the world’s most iconic cities. The weeklong educational journey was a mix of sightseeing, hands-on learning and inspirational moments, offering students a chance to broaden their horizons and experience firsthand the vibrancy of the city.
During their trip, the students visited renowned landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Central Park and Times Square and even watched the amazing performance of Moulin Rouge on Broadway.
The trip not only enhanced students’ knowledge but also helped them build lifelong memories and friendships. For many of the students, it was their first time visiting New York and the experience left them with a deeper appreciation for the city’s diverse culture and energy.
As the students returned home, teachers and staff emphasised the importance of exploring and learning beyond the classroom, encouraging students to take their newfound experiences and apply them to their studies and future endeavours.
The trip exemplified how important it is to provide students with opportunities for experiential learning. New York is a place full of history, creativity, and possibilities, and it gave students a chance to dream big about their own futures.
What a week to remember!
