Spreading Kindness This Christmas

Friday, 19th December 2024

Christmas is a time to think about others, especially those who may be going through difficult times. In recent weeks, staff, students, and the wider community at Harper Green School have come together to support a range of initiatives, and the school community is incredibly proud of what has been achieved.

One of the initiatives this year involved assembling and decorating 112 ‘Dignity Bags’ for homeless individuals, which will be distributed through Homeless Aid UK at their street kitchens in Bolton.

Sital Raja from Homeless Aid UK, who came to collect the bags, commented: "This project has been organised for the past four years and is very close to my heart. Each bag, brimming with donations from the students, was beautifully decorated and filled with goodies to be handed out at the Street Kitchen. Harper Green School always looks after the homeless every Christmas, and Homeless Aid UK would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone involved."

It is heartwarming to see how these efforts continue to make a meaningful difference to those in need and we are grateful to all those who contributed to this important cause.
