Rivington & Blackrod Sixth Form Open Evening

On Thursday, 9th October 2025, Rivington & Blackrod Sixth Form welcomed prospective students and their families to its Sixth Form Open Evening. The event provided an opportunity to explore the newly refurbished facilities and learn more about what life is like as part of the Sixth Form community.
Visitors toured the site, met subject teachers and spoke with current students about their experiences of Sixth Form life. Guided tours were led by student ambassadors, who shared insights into the wide range of courses, enrichment opportunities and support available through the Rivi Experience.
The evening offered a welcoming and informative atmosphere, allowing families to ask questions, explore course options, and gain a clear sense of the Sixth Form’s supportive environment and strong academic offer.
The school extends its thanks to everyone who attended and to the staff and students who helped make the event a success. For those who were unable to attend, Rivington & Blackrod Sixth Form will hold another Open Evening in February 2026, offering a further opportunity to meet the team and find out more about the opportunities available.
