Rivington & Blackrod High School Student Leadership Team 2025

Following an extensive application and interview process, Rivington & Blackrod High School’s newly appointed Student Leadership Team took part in a day of adventure and teamwork with Grip Adventure. The day was designed to develop key leadership skills such as communication, collaboration and problem-solving, with students taking on a range of exciting water sport activities that encouraged teamwork and confidence building.
As part of the experience, the team also met with members of the school’s governing body over lunch, including Kevin McKeon, Chair of Governors, and David Griffiths, a long-standing governor who has now completed his final term. This provided an excellent opportunity for the students to share their ideas and ambitions for the year ahead, while building positive relationships with the governing team.
The event was an inspiring start to their leadership journey, and the school is proud of the enthusiasm, commitment and sense of responsibility the new team has already shown. Rivington & Blackrod High School looks forward to seeing the valuable contribution they will make in their new roles throughout the year.
