Rivi's Got Talent 2024

Following the success of our musical productions, School of Rock and Matilda, this year Rivington and Blackrod High School introduced something slightly different: RIVI'S GOT TALENT!
Auditions started in June, and successful acts were assigned to teams where they were coached through the rehearsal process to reach the live Semi-Final shows. The Semi-Final shows took place on Monday, 21st October, and Tuesday, 22nd October, followed by the live Final on Thursday, 24th October. The shows were enjoyed by school governors, staff, local primary schools, students, and parents.
Taking to social media, one audience member stated, "They were all incredible. What talented students!! Thanks for an enjoyable evening. Best £4 I have ever spent!!" Another added, "Absolutely blown away by the matinee today. Every single act made me simply agog with their bravery and talent. Good luck to all of you; what incredible young people."
The variety show of theatrical acts started as a spark of an idea, and it was incredible to see the students developing their skills, talents, and confidence. Well done to everyone who took part—you did yourselves and the RBHS community proud!
