Rivington and Blackrod High School have been working hard to support the attendance of all students and are delighted to share that the hard work of staff, students and parents has been recognised this week by Fisher Family Trust for ranking in the top 25% nationally for attendance. Fisher Family Trust work with over 10,000 schools across the country.
Good school attendance is crucial for the learning and exam success of students, as well as ensuring their active involvement in fantastic extracurricular activities, trips and experiences available in school.
Mr A Tipney, Assistant Headteacher commented, "As a school, we genuinely appreciate the support of all our parents/careers in ensuring that students are in school to minimise lost learning due to absence. We have been working closely with our pastoral team and alongside the Department for Education (DFE) as part of the Attendance Hub programme. Additionally, we are instigating an exciting national project with ImpactEd to survey the students on their attitudes toward school and exploring ways to enhance their engagement with all aspects of school life."
This achievement serves as a fantastic springboard for the school, acknowledging the school's success and inspiring continued improvement.
