Over 50 Students and Staff Take Part in a Community Iftar
Thursday, 14th March 2024
On Wednesday, 13th March 2024, Harper Green School hosted its first-ever Community Iftar. To celebrate our diverse community within the month of Ramadan, we invited staff and students to join us for Iftar – the evening meal to break the fast.
The evening commenced with an informative welcome talk, providing insight into the significance of the occasion. Staff and students then congregated for a collective workshop and concluded with a communal meal to celebrate the day’s Iftar and symbolise the essence of togetherness and solidarity that defines Ramadan.
The event was a huge success, with over 50 students and staff in attendance and marks the beginning of an annual event on the Harper Green School calendar.
Ramadan embodies the spirit of giving, and all proceeds will be directed to Urban Outreach Charity, which offers aid to households in crisis and supports disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals across Bolton.
