Wednesday, 1st April 2026

Lostock Primary School is celebrating a national achievement after receiving an SSAT Educational Outcomes Award 2025 for exceptional pupil attainment.

The award recognises the school’s outstanding performance in Key Stage 2 assessments, placing Lostock Primary among the top 20% of schools nationally for pupil attainment. This achievement highlights the school’s continued commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, as well as the dedication and resilience of its pupils.
The SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards are presented annually to schools across the country that demonstrate exceptional outcomes for their students. Being recognised at a national level is a testament to the hard work of staff, pupils and the wider school community.

Vicki Guest, Director of Primary Education for Leverhulme Academy Trust and Executive Headteacher of Lostock Primary School, said:

“I am absolutely delighted for our fantastic team at Lostock Primary School, so ably led by Mrs Barnes-Gray. This award reflects the commitment and expertise of staff across the school.

Special thanks must go to Mr Kelly, our Deputy Headteacher and Year 6 teacher, whose dedication has made such a difference. Most importantly, congratulations to last year’s Year 6 cohort, a hardworking and determined group of young people. This recognition is very well deserved.”

The award celebrates the school’s achievements and reflects its ongoing commitment to delivering the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
