Harper Green School Visits Royal Bolton Hospital
Tuesday, 16th December 2025

A group of Harper Green students recently visited Royal Bolton Hospital to help spread festive cheer and positivity to patients, staff and families across the wards this Christmas.
As part of the visit, the students decorated the hospital’s Tree of Hope, adding handwritten cards filled with thoughtful messages of encouragement, kindness and optimism. The display will remain in place throughout the festive period, offering comfort and positivity to everyone who visits.
The students then spent time visiting six wards across the hospital, where they sang, danced, rang festive bells and enjoyed conversations with patients and staff. Many people joined in with the singing and several shared how touched they were by the students’ kindness and positive energy.
Headteacher Ms Heppenstall said: “A huge thank you to Royal Bolton Hospital for welcoming us. It was a delight to see the positive response from patients and staff and to know that our students were able to help brighten so many people’s day.”
Well done to everyone involved.
