Harper Green School Supports National Cycle to School Week 2025

Friday, 3rd October 2025

As part of National Cycle to School Week (23rd–26th September), Mr Walsh and Mr Tyson at Harper Green School organised a free bicycle wash and service for students. The initiative encouraged cycling as a fun, healthy and eco-friendly way to travel to school, while helping to ensure that bikes were safe and well-maintained.

Throughout the week, students brought their bikes in for a quick check and clean, with the chance to pick up some useful maintenance tips along the way. It was great to see so many students taking part and showing an interest in caring for their bikes.

The school is also encouraging students to choose at least one day a week to cycle to school — a small but positive step towards staying active, reducing their carbon footprint and starting the day in a healthy way.

Thank you to Mr Walsh and Mr Tyson for organising the event and well done to all the students who took part in Cycle to School Week 2025.
