Harper Green School Partners with Farnworth Cricket Club

Harper Green School has secured access to Farnworth Cricket Club’s facilities as well as professional coaching from their Australian overseas players. This will grant them access to the new cricket net facility as well as full use of their pitches for school fixtures.
Farnworth Cricket Club is passionate about increasing participation at under-13s level and beyond over the coming years to discover new cricket talent and raise awareness of the newly formed North West Cricket League.
Mr. P Wakefield, Head of PE at Harper Green School, said, “My aim is to provide our students with good opportunities to play cricket. This new link with Farnworth Cricket Club will allow us to offer these opportunities to our students and develop their cricket skills, hopefully inspiring them to play outside of school, which will contribute to personal and community development.”
