Creative Fairytale and Folklore Writing Workshop with Author Marie Basting

Earlier this week, students at Harper Green School took part in a fun and inspiring writing workshop with award-winning author Marie Basting. Known for her humorous fiction inspired by Greek mythology, fairy tales, and Ancient Rome, Marie captivated the students with her storytelling skills and creative writing expertise.
During the workshop, students explored the art of storytelling, delving into the world of fairy tales and folklore while learning how to create their own exciting stories. Marie shared valuable tips on how to bring characters and settings to life, giving everyone the opportunity to develop their writing skills and have fun with their creativity.
Marie said, “It was my absolute pleasure to visit Harper Green students. What a fantastic group of young people. Good luck with your competition entries!”
