Celebrating GCSE success at Rivington & Blackrod High School

Year 11 students at Rivington & Blackrod High School celebrated their GCSE results on Thursday, 20th August, with some fantastic achievements across the year group.
Among those celebrating was Abbie Slater, who achieved an impressive four grade 9s, four grade 8s and two grade 7s.
Izzy Jones also achieved an excellent set of results, securing three grade 9s, four grade 8s and three grade 7s.
Both Abbie and Izzy will continue their studies at Rivington & Blackrod Sixth Form in September.
Across the year group, students are now preparing for their next steps, whether continuing into Sixth Form, moving on to college or beginning an apprenticeship or training.
Paul Roach, CEO of Leverhulme Church of England and Community Trust and Executive Headteacher at Rivington & Blackrod High School, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students at Rivington & Blackrod and everything they have achieved. Their results reflect the hard work and determination they have shown throughout their time with us.
“We look forward to welcoming many of our students back to Rivington & Blackrod Sixth Form in September and wish every student the very best for the future.”
