CLASS OF 2024: RBSF YEAR 13 LEAVERS ASSEMBLY
Tuesday, 21st May 2024
On Monday, 13th May 2024, Rivington and Blackrod Sixth Form students gathered in the beautiful RBHS chapel for the Year 13 leavers' assembly. The event was a celebration of achievements and memories and an opportunity for our students and staff to come together.
The assembly began with three talented Music/PA students performing live music as everyone entered, followed by a warm and inspiring introduction from Mrs Stephens, Director of Rivington and Blackrod Sixth Form.
Following the warm welcome, our student leaders took to the stage to share their memories and thank the staff. One of the highlights of the assembly was the presentation of trophies to the Students of the Year in all subjects, which was accompanied by touching messages from staff members celebrating student achievements. Miss Holden, Head of Years 12 and 13, delivered a poignant speech reflecting on the student's journeys, followed by a video montage of memorable moments from the past few years.
To finish the day, Mrs Stephens arranged for an ice cream van to deliver sweet treats to the whole year group and staff!
Year 13 student Josh Nicholls said, "It was the perfect way to celebrate our last year group gathering! Lots of memories, gratitude, and acknowledgement for those who have worked hard. The ice cream was great too! Good luck to everyone in exams and thank you to all the staff who have guided us through Sixth Form and school."
Congratulations to all RBSF Year 13 students as they start their exciting next chapter!
