Away From Home – Live it: A Residential for Year 11 and 12 Students

Sophie from NCS recently visited Rivington and Blackrod Sixth Form to offer Year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to apply for the ‘Away from Home – Live it’ experience this summer with NCS.

The five-day residential is designed to help boost confidence, develop resilience skills, and facilitate meeting new friends while learning new skills for the world of work. As part of the residential, students will stay in a beautiful outdoor location, have the opportunity to make new friends and have fun with current friends, and explore adventure activities such as high ropes and abseiling while making memories to last a lifetime. They'll be encouraged to step outside their comfort zone while learning and developing life and employability skills.

15- to 17-year-olds can register for the residential online at https://wearencs.com/head-away-from-home. The government has funded places available up to the cost of £75. Any student who is PP, FSM, or facing financial struggles can participate in the experience for free.
